About Me
ABOUT ME
I think I'm a calm, positive and contemplative person who enjoys meeting all kinds of different people. I'm trying to be as much respectful as I can in everyday life and, depending of the mood, I can be very discrete or energetic.
My interests mostly concern arts. I've studied cinema, visual arts and art history. I work as a professional artist in the fields of sound and media arts.
I also play music as a drummer, guitarist, bouzoukist (bouzouki) and pianist. I learned these instruments by myself and I would certainly enjoy to play music with you if you want. I also used to be involved in a Javanese Gamelan group as a percussionist.
Of course, travelling is one of my passions. I like slow travelling, discovering landscape by feet, taking the time to feel every place I go, etc. Walking is certainly part of my philosophy of life. It is, for me, the better way to "stand in nature and culture".

Music, Movies, and Books
I think we could say I'm a melomaniac. I cannot spend a week without discovering new music. Same thing for movies.
So, let just say that I watch and listen a lot of things. From the darkest and most unknown world music to the newest indie pop band. From experimental movies of Michael Snow and Paul Sharits to the latest Hollywood junk movie. Mostly, I enjoy everything that have a little «weird and clever twist»
Here are some of my favorites:
Music: The microphones/MountEerie, Women, Woods, Vincent Gallo, Sublime frequencies label, Timber Timbre, TFUL282, The Beatles, Sonic Youth, David Bowie, The Beatles, Tropicalia mouvement, Péloquin-Sauvageau, Onra, Debussy, Bach, Mozart, Pergolese, Nina Simone, Nana Vasconcelos, Charles Lloyd, Zakir Hussain, Django Reinhardt, Morton Feldman, MGMT, Lloyd Miller, Leonard Cohen, John Lurie, John Frusciante's two first solo albums, James Blake, Islet, Greatest Hits, Gonzales solo piano, Gerard Grisey, France Galle, Eric Dolphy, Deerhunter, Conan Mockasin, cLOUDDEAD, Chris Watson, Caribou, Can, Brigitte Fontaine, Brigitte Bardot, Astor Piazzolla, Arthur Russell, Art Blakey, Alva noto, and so on...

I also like to read french thinkers: Didi-Huberman, Derrida, Sartre, Rancière, Bachelard, Onfray, and stories of Milan Kundera to relax and dream.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm in Marseille right now to complete an artist residency. I'm organizing an exhibition and a electronic music performance in an old factory with a bunch of other artists living here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you the basics of French, or anything else I know in general. I like to talk about Québec culture.
