About Me

Hi everyone!!! I’m a digital nomad from the U.S. / Mexico just trying to find his way in the world and the meaning of life. I love everything about travel; from seeing, smelling and tasting new things to meeting people of course. Travel keeps me motivated to work hard and humbles me to appreciate what I have. I will do it as long as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The question is, why have I not been??? I have always heard great things. As much as I have travelled, I can’t believe I only recently started to couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Live music fills my soul and is my happy place. Everyone says it, but I actually do love every type of music. If the genre exists, it’s probably on my playlist. From Arabic instrumental, to relaxing Zen tunes, and everything in between.

Favorite movies are probably science fiction types like “Interstellar”, “Arrival”, or “Inception”, but I enjoy anything that really makes me think deeply. For shows, “Black Mirror” and “Dark” on Netflix are likely my biggest recommendations.

My Kindle is my travel partner, so I love books. Mostly non-fiction and science or history based. I’m currently reading “The Elegant Universe” , which is about astrophysics, by Brian Greene.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have visited the coldest, hottest, highest, and lowest points of land on earth, as well as all 7 continents.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve also been around the world a fair share, so I think I have some cool stories. If you’re learning English or Spanish I’d love to practice with you and I may be able to cook some decent Mexican food if we can find the key ingredients.

I am always happy to share my experiences in the world and definitely welcome the same in return. The world can only become a better place if we help better each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For hosts… I consider myself very introspective and a deep-thinker, but also know how to have fun. So I am very comfortable staying home and just having interesting conversations over coffee / tea about virtually ANY topic (since I do have a million interests). Or if you would like to go out to have lunch / dinner or a few drinks at a bar, I’m more than willing as well. I do work during certain portions of my travels, so when I am I’d likely just quietly be at my computer for a few hours. But overall, I enjoy the cultural exchange of meeting people above all else, so I’ll be as social as you would like to be.

For surfers… I gave up my apartment to live nomadically for the last 2 years, so I don’t have an actual home to share. But I do go to Chicago or Mexico City once or twice a year to see family. So if I’m in town, I would love to be your tour guide and hang out for a few days. Or if we are traveling the same place sometime, let’s hang out and experience the world together!!!!
