About Me

Hey, I'm Juanca! I love tapirs and watermelons.

I'm a Physics student in the University of Costa Rica who really likes nature, science, food, movies and music.

I consider myself a relaxed and extrovert person. I really enjoy talking to people, but I can leave you alone if that's not your thing.

Also, when I say I'm relaxed, I'm really chill. If because of this I do something that annoys you, please just let me know in a peaceful way and I'll stop.

I'm pretty straightforward and love when people say what they mean, so don't be afraid to tell me me anything you want to say.

I can share a beer, a trip, a conversation or a good movie anytime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be travelling to CERN this summer and I'm staying there for 8 weeks. I want to travel around on weekends and maybe go to a couple of music festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Brockhampton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Superorganism, Cuco, Arctic Monkeys, City and Colour. I don't have an specific genre I prefer and if you want to show me new music or discuss music I'm up for it.

Movies: Before trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Spiderverse, Arrival, La La Land (don't hate me), Midnight In Paris, Donnie Darko, and many more, but these are the ones at the top of my head. I don't have a preferred topic/genre (the ones I mentioned have a sci-fi/romance trend), I just like when a movie is good. Also I like High School Musical (I grew up with it so I guess it's just special to me) so I'm down to singing along the movie soundtrack.

TV Shows (subsection of movies I guess): Rick and Morty, True Detective S1, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, Atlanta, Naruto and some more.

Also, for these two the list of want to watch is also big, so we could talk about that.

Books: I like some of Stephen King's works, grew up with Harry Potter, and I also love some fiction classics. I like sci-fi, physics and math stuff.

I also like to play videogames!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I saw a tapir (check picture) and one time I bought a watermelon suit (also check picture).

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I can help you with any classical physics problem or explain you (almost) any topic?

But besides that:

I like to experiment while I'm cooking, I don't know much but we could cook together.

If you're talkative, one of the best things I could share is a conversation! I love talking about a lot of things, including (but not limited to): science, math, beer, coffee, food, movies, tv shows, music, nature, history, social problems, art, books, world politics, the meaning of life, space, life experiences, speculating and pretty much anything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe a Costa Rican souvenir if you want one? Also beer, food, anything I can purchase as a thank you for hosting me and my eternal friendship! (Okay maybe not eternal but if we get along then we can keep in touch).
