About Me

Teaching by profession, into travelling and coffee 😊 I enjoy outdoor activities and recently has been trying to get active with running.

I've been thinking that there are more than meets the eye about life. Meeting new people, learning about the world and different culture enriches someone's experience and enables us to see the world as we know it, from a different perspective.

I've been learning a lot of new things as of late. Violin, ukulele and ocarina to name some musical instruments. Also, I'm learning Mandarin now. So I also hope to meet someone that can help me converse in Mandarin 😆 English is my second language but I'm very much comfortable and fluent in English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason for me to couchsurf is to meet locals, as well as fellow travelers. As the saying of "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" goes, I'd like to learn their language, feel the local culture, breath their air, eat their food and enjoy their culture. I'm someone who believes that every country is unique and different, and the diversity of people on this Earth makes the world a happy place :)

Music, Movies, and Books

QUEEN! Who can't love them?

But recently I'm more gravitated towards indie solo music like Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi. Lol. And also growing up in the 90s, I'd say MLTR was one of the groups that I really enjoyed the music .

I enjoy reading books that involve social sciences and psychology, as I believe it can relate to the real world that we're living in. It makes me understand more about human, and it actually helps people not to stereotype and understand that some people have their own struggle to deal with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure whether I've done one amazing thing, but I've actually done lots of different things beyond my comfort zones.

I've solo travelled to Dubai and Rome. Career wise, I finished my PhD studies while sports wise, I've ran half marathons, which I never thought about it last year.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach you how to play the ukulele, or perhaps doing some latte art if you;re very much interested in becoming a barista!

It may come a bit late at this stage of my life, but I wish to be a polyglot. So I'm very much interested to learn new languages, besides the different types of programming languages that I've known. Lol.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Experience of travelling, or perhaps some tips on running marathons I guess. Lol.
