About Me

I'm a Mexican social psychology student.
I'm a curious, funny, sociable, open minded, enthusiastic and easy going guy so it's easy to make me laugh. I like to joke a lot and very often I say or do crazy, weird or absurd things but I think life is essentially doing that stuff. I want to learn more about the from the world and its different cultures and for me, the best way to do so is meeting people from different places to share ideas, beliefs, interest, likes and dislikes and well, in the end, a great experience together. That's how we make ourselves better and the world a more meaningful place!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my firts time in Europe, so the very idea of staying with locals and enjoying a different experience from that of the tourists is very attractive to me. Couchsurfing offers the opportunity of having a great time, make friends and get surprised and facinated with the simmilarities and differences between people. There's nothing more interesting than human diversity and Couchsurfing is the right place to get in touch with it.

Interests

I really like to meet new people and share my beliefs, dreams and ideas so the first thing I'm interested in is just talking. I really love it and think that's the best way to make friends.

FOOD!! Strange and new dishes!! I love them and I liked almost everything I've tasted to this point of my life.

I also love videogames and books (literature - fantastic tales and science fiction novels). Music is not discarded, some rock, indie, folk or new kinds of music are always welcomed as well as some dance.
Philosophy, sociology, anthropology, social psychology (that's what I study, by the way), physics, technology and the future are things that always go round my head.
Learning about history and the everyday life of the places in which I stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy almost any kind of music though indie folk and rock are my favorites.
Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Vampire Weekend, Jinga Safari, Frightened Rabbit, Interpol, Motorama, The Vaccines, U2, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Noah and the whale...

And that's just for music in english, mexican and spanish-speaking bands have done good work as well. 60 tigres, Jumbo, Cafe Tacvba, Porter, La Gusana Ciega, Jorge Drexler, Cuarteto de Nos, Paté de Fua, La Barderville, Telebit... and also some Salsa!
I also enjoy classical music, ambience music and movies and videogames soundtracks.

As for movies I love the stricking ones that make you feel some sort of gap when they are over like Inception, Truman Show, Minority Report, The cube, Hombre mirando al sudeste, Abre los Ojos... And well, I also enjoy comedy, suspense and actions films.

And finally books! I love to read. Reading truly complements my life experience, since sometimes my thought is taken into unespected ways by the stories I read. Above all, I love science fiction and fantastic literature (fantastic is not the same than fantasy). Bradbury, Clarke, Asimov, Sturgeon, Cortzar and Borges are the some few names of writers I admire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I tried to learn parkour and I did learn something... however I left it cause I injured my knees :(

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good conversation about whatever!! There might be somethings that are going to be difficult to say in a different language, but in the end we will comprehend each other, I'm sure of that. I can teach some spanish as well.
Salsa dance!! I am not the best but I could teach what I know,
Some Mexican food if we get the propper ingredients.
Good company! I am eager to share moments with people, otherwise couchsurfing lose its sense.

By the way, I also do some juggling, so I can teach a little to everybody.
