About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take over the world, country by country, ja!

ABOUT ME

If you are reading these lines, I will assume that you are interested in me, so, thank you. Let me start by how I ended in couchsurfing.

I was participating in an exchange program in Europe for 7 months during 2010, living, traveling and enjoying Europe for a whole semester. It was an incredible experience, which I consider one of the best in my life!

Here is our Blog from those incredible times, http://jcendon.wordpress.com/

Vienna in the beautiful Austria was my "hometown" and the rest of Europe my playground. During that period, I´ve visited twenty countries and around forty-four cities! Therefore, you can imagine how many great places and people I´ve known.

All the situations I have been through were really overwhelming and incredible. All the unbelievable people I got in touch with, taught me something about them and their culture, something for which I am grateful. After that time, I strongly believe in the fact that we are not that different no matter our nationalities.

And from all the awesome experiences, I think that the Couchsurfing Experience was one of the highlights of the whole trip. It really expanded my mind far beyond expected, for that reason; since I´m back in Argentina, I think it would be amazing to host people from all over the world.

About myself, I try to be a positive person and like a boy scout, always be ready. Funny when there is fun needed, helpful when help is required and quiet when somebody wants to talk. I enjoy a good talk about almost everything and I love to cook.

During the week, I work and study, but I have always time to go out and show Buenos Aires around. So welcome to our great city!

PHILOSOPHY

"Juan, in life you have to try everything, except for 2 things ..." Someone told me a long time ago. I have followed that advice and I found the rock and blues, beers with good friends, interesting books, awesome concerts, chances to learn, opportunities to teach, the Baileys, plenty of good bars, some poker games, football matches, the chance to travel around the world, many beautiful women and I´m still looking for more. But doing my best to avoid those 2 things. I just try to have fun and make others happy, regardless of location or company, that's what matters...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was hosted during my time in Europe, now I hope to host back travelers from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve been hosted in:
- Prague (David Novak)
- Luxembourg (Katharina Brendel)
- Cologne (Andrei Costenco)
- Cologne (Lars Korff)
- Berlin (Alexander Schmidt)
- München (Lucia and Eva Bader)
- Innsbruck (Franco/Victoria/Barbara)
- Dublin (Aurelien)
- Bern (Priska)
- Luzern (Michael and Hanna)
- Pisa (Ester)
- Moscow (Katya-Anna)

It is an incredible experience to meet unknown people and live with them as old friends who share everything.

Interests

I think that sports and music are very interesting hobbies. I love playing football, watch NBA games; I enjoy outdoor activities such as trekking, biking or wakeboarding in the Delta del Río de la Plata, in my hometown San Fernando next to Buenos Aires.

I am a concert guy, I usually go to rock concerts and I love live music, especially rock and blues.

Concerning to more “cultural” activities, I enjoy the act of reading and writing short stories. I like technical magazines and scientific reports.

I´m good at cooking and enjoy a good home made meal.

As many of you I think that the best way to invest our time is by travelling around the world and keep learning new things every single day.

Music, Movies, and Books

The good old Rock and Roll makes me happy and blues helps me to relax. Reggae lets me fly and the classical allows me to think.

Ac/Dc is THE BAND but Metallica, Megadeth and Iron Maiden rock! Eric Clapton and BB King rule the guitar in B. Pappo is my hero and along with Steve Ray they play for God in heaven. Bob and Peter knew all about Jamaica in their songs. But at the end, Wolfgang and Ludwig made the masterpieces.

About the Big Screen, I love comedies and action movies, but my favorite movie is "Pirates of Silicon Valley" the movie that explains the origins of the universe!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There were three amazing things that I have done in my life: Three Ac/Dc concerts with my brother!

Teach, Learn, Share

It´s hard to teach, I consider it a challenge. So instead of teaching I like to pass my knowledge on to other people. All the things I know and experiences I have, are always there for everybody who finds them useful.

Learning is the only thing we should don´t stop doing in our life. Is the best activity to improve ourselves.
