About Me

Good morrow to all. Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Juan. I am 32 years of age, and I hail from Argentina, born in the city of Buenos Aires. I have resided here all my life, from the tranquil suburbs to the more central areas of the city. I am an architect, having studied at the University of Buenos Aires, and I have been engaged in this profession for approximately ten years.

At present, I dwell in a spacious flat on the outskirts of the city with my little cat. He is my companion in life and an important part of me.

First and foremost, it is essential to comprehend that my house is neither a hostel nor a temporary rental—it is my home. I reside here with my own lifestyle. I am fully committed to ensuring you have the best stay here, but it is also important for you to understand the Argentine way of life. We can be lively, play loud music, arrive late or early, stay up late, host gatherings with friends or family, and engage in eating or drinking. Your presence here is by no means bothersome; feel free to join any plans that arise, but you should not be troubled by any of this either. I also acknowledge that it is part of the experience of living in Argentina like a local, so I hope none of this poses an inconvenience for you.

If I were to describe my preferences, I could say that I am a person passionate about all that I do and say. Since I was a child, I have always loved football; I am a devoted fan of Club Atletico Independiente (my local team), one of my most significant passions in life. I am also passionate about music; I studied the guitar when I was young and have always enjoyed discovering new bands and solo artists. I also have a passion for electronic music, particularly the sounds of progressive house. I love attending parties and experiencing live performances by DJs.

I consider myself a cheerful and calm person who enjoys both the company of family and friends and solitude and alone time. I believe that a balance between both contributes to each person's character.

Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively, becoming acquainted with places and people that previously only existed in my imagination. Thanks to these experiences, I have developed a knowledge and interest in fascinating foreign cultures and customs.

I believe that these experiences have positively altered the course of my life, as opening my mind has given me a better perspective on relating to people. I think that cultural exchange is essential for the formation of universal human thought. Breaking the barriers of the known is as important as the values acquired in our homes from a young age.

I have hosted and been a traveller with many surfers, and from each and every one, I have gained something special. I have diverse interests. Surely, we can find something in common and even share experiences.

Welcome, travellers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe Couchsurfing is a fundamental space where you not only offer accommodation but also share the most fleeting things with a stranger, someone with whom you probably have many things in common, and the only thing that separates you is the unfortunate distance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music in general. I mostly listen to old rock bands, national bands and electronic music.

I like historical movies. Tarantino, Nolan, Scorssese are my favourite directors.

I used to read a lot but I currently don't because of my responsabilities. I love police thrillers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Walking through forbidden mayan ruins
-Walking on frozen sea in Copenhaguen
-Watching football matches in almost every country I went to
-Travelling on a van's roof to the beach in Guatemala

Teach, Learn, Share
