¡Hola! Soy Juan David, un ingeniero civil colombiano y español que actualmente trabaja en Madrid. Después de un tiempo sin usar Couchsurfing, estoy emocionado por volver a conectarme y compartir experiencias en esta maravillosa ciudad. Aunque en este momento no puedo hospedar a corto plazo debido a que comparto piso con tres compañeros, espero que eso cambie en 2024. Sin embargo, si estás en Madrid durante un fin de semana o después de las 5 entre semana, estaré encantado de mostrarte los rincones que conozco, las mejores rutas, y los encantos del Retiro, ya que Madrid es una ciudad ideal para recorrer a pie.

Soy un apasionado de la cocina y disfruto preparando platos como mi delicioso pollo al curry y unas irresistibles pastas a la carbonara, aunque a veces me gusta darles mi toque personal a las recetas.

En mi tiempo libre, me gusta practicar voleibol a un nivel intermedio/alto, programar (tech fan) y correr, puedo hacer 10K a un ritmo de 4:30 min/km (y busco compañeros para la San Silvestre Vallecana de este año). Además, soy un gran fan de animes como Haikyuu y Run with the Wind, entre otros. ¡Espero tener la oportunidad de conocerte y compartir momentos increíbles juntos!

Hello! I'm Juan David, a Colombian and Spanish civil engineer currently working in Madrid. After a while without using Couchsurfing, I'm excited to re-engage and share experiences in this wonderful city. Although I can't host in the short term right now due to sharing an apartment with three roommates, I hope that will change in 2024. However, if you're in Madrid on a weekend or after 5PM during the week, I'd be delighted to show you the places I know, the best routes, and the charms of El Retiro, as Madrid is an ideal city to explore on foot.

I'm passionate about cooking and I enjoy preparing dishes like my delicious chicken curry and some irresistible carbonara pasta, although I like to add my personal touch to the recipes from time to time.

In my free time, I like to play volleyball at an intermediate/advanced level, code (I'm a tech fan), and go for runs. I can manage a 10K at a pace of 4:30 min/km (and I'm looking for partners for this year's San Silvestre Vallecana). Additionally, I'm a big fan of anime like Haikyuu and Run with the Wind, among others. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you and share incredible moments together!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Después de pagar accidentalmente la verificación (¡duelen esos 56 euros!), decidí tomarlo con una actitud positiva y sumergirme de lleno en esta experiencia. Mi objetivo es conocer personas y, dado que tengo un próximo viaje con mi pareja, nos encantaría explorar lugares donde podamos sumergirnos por completo en la cultura local y conocerla a través de los ojos de quienes la viven día a día.

After accidentally paying for the verification (those 56 euros hurts!), I decided to look at it from the bright side and dive deep into this experience. My goal is to meet people, and since I have an upcoming trip with my partner, we would love to explore places where we can fully immerse ourselves in the local culture and experience it through the eyes of those who live it every day.

I love the song of ice and fire series, I have read all the main story and the ones that are from years before of the story (Like Fire and Blood, the Knight of the seven kingdoms and the world of ice and fire) I also like the Game of Thrones tv show, but the last season were really disappointing.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Estuve en un autobús que se quedó sin frenos y volcó en el camino de regreso desde Bogotá, justo después de haber obtenido la nacionalidad española.

Teaching: I teach volleyball, regardless of the level. I enjoy getting people interested in this sport, and I find it a beautiful way to spend time.

Learning: I know how to cook, but I'd like to expand my repertoire of dishes.

Sharing: Engaging conversations. Once I start talking about my experiences, I can't stop.

Enseño: Voleibol, sin importar el nivel. Disfruto de despertar el interés de las personas en este deporte, y lo considero una forma hermosa de pasar el tiempo.

Aprendo: Cocina, sé cómo hacerlo, pero me gustaría ampliar mi repertorio de platos.

Comparto: Conversaciones enriquecedoras. Una vez que empiezo a hablar sobre mis experiencias, no puedo parar.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Depending on the time available, I'd love to spend some quality time together, whether it's cooking, chatting, or engaging in activities. I'm someone with plenty of interesting stories to share, who enjoys both cooking and sports. We'll surely find something fun to do.

Dependiendo del tiempo que tengan disponible, me encantaría pasar un rato agradable juntos, ya sea cocinando, charlando o participando en actividades. Soy alguien con muchas historias interesantes para contar, que disfruta tanto cocinar como el deporte. ¡Seguro encontraremos algo divertido que hacer!
