About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn all I can. Explore the arthistic side of life. Study, write, meet interesenting people.

ABOUT ME

I'm open-minded, curious. I love many things in life, and I love them intensely. There are some others that I hate, and I think I also do that intensely.
I love knowing people, specially from other cultures. Some of my best friends are foreigners living here in Madrid. I love movies and novels. I love good conversation, and good classes, because I love to learn.
That's the main purpose of my life right now, i guess: learning. That's why I'm studying philosophy and I'm travelling to Canada. I quitted my job as a web programmer because there's not much to be learnt inside an office.
I love music too. I used to play the bass guitar a lot, but I never had the talent to become professional. I used to listen to jazz, but I never got really into it. I love drum'n'bass, and I can party (but not really dance) for hours to almost any music. I hate cheap pop ballads, on the other hand, alltought not all pop music is bad.
To continue with this chapter of 'hates', what I probably hate the most is one person taking advantage of another. So, abuse, in all its forms.

PHILOSOPHY

I think honesty is one of the most important values in life. So, if you like something, you must say, but if you don't, sometimes you must speak up too.
It's very important to think what you say. To express well formed opinions, instead of thinking out loud.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Chandler, Oz, Cela, Tolkien, Greene, Ende, Sabato. I love fantasy and detective stories.
Music: modern jazz, jazzy drum'n'bass. I play electric bass a little, and have a little home-studio with a friend who djs.
Movies: hollywood. I liked, for instance, Spiderman 1 & 2. Spielberg, Kubrik, Coppola, Scott. I'm starting to hate Almodovar (has anybody ever seen more than 3 movies of this guy? They're all the same!).
I love american tv shows, like The Sopranos, Deadwood, House, Rome... Ups, Have I seen them all?
My favorite TV series ever was "Wire on the Blood", from UK.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done:
Well, not much. Probably some would say it's amazing that I quit an actual job (as a programmer) for the promise of a more interesting one (as a philosophy teacher) in the future.
Seen:
The most amazing i've seen is Machu Picchu, Peru. Truly magic, intense, spectacular place.
Berlin's east side and wall are amazing too. You can't see the wall now, but you feel it, and all that it meant. You feel the history of europe when you walk Berlin. Very impressive.
