ABOUT ME

My name is Juan Martín. I am 25 years old and I was born in Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I now live in La Plata (45 km away from Buenos Aires City) with my girlfriend. We rent a lovely two-bedroomed flat so we can have a host over.

I am an English teacher and translator graduated from UNLP (University of La Plata). I am very friendly, outgoing and sociable. I can speak excellent English and Spanish. I love travelling and meeting new people around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new foreign people who are different from me and yet similar! I also like visiting different countries and cities and getting to know different cultures through the locals.

Interests

I really enjoy reading, both in English and Spanish. I think 1984 is one of the greatest books ever written. I like many authors, including Borges, Cortázar, Fitzgerald, Orwell, Maugham, among others.

I also love music. I especially love The Beatles! I like playing their songs on my guitar. I enjoy listening to different styles of music: rock, jazz, blues and classical sometimes.

I'm a big fan of sports. Football is my favourite one. I love playing and watching. I like Argentinian football and European football as well. Champions League is an obsessioon for me!
