About Me

Super sociable, adaptable and easygoing person.
I work at the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, in the Ministry of Economic Development.
I studied political science at college and now I am currently studying a master degree in finances.
I have been involved in politics in Argentina since 2008. I was a volunteer for many years, after that I join the teams in the state congress, I got elected member of my city council and now I contribute from the City Government.

Fun-fact: I am Harry Potter´s fan and before the last book was in the bookshops, I predicted the end of the serie in a local newspaper (I got interviewed). I was wrong, but not too much. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like couchsurfing because it gives me the chance to get to know the cities and places in a different way. Not just as a turist. I was able to meet new people and understand the way of living from the point of view of their inhabitants. I like to visit places outside the traditional tours, so I can approach those places in a different way. I love to understand different social experiences and politics.

Interests

I like to be challenged all the time, that’s the reason why after I finished college (political science) I forced myself to another point of view and I got into the technology world. I want to understand in a deep way the path in which the world is changing to reach a more equal and free space to live for everyone. I worked in startups, in big tech companies, and in the last years I moved to the public sector working on innovation, technology, business, as well as diversity and inclusion.

Music, Movies, and Books

In the books, I can’t be impartial. I love Harry Potter, I grew up with Harry, Ron and Hermione (I read the books each year to have the same age that they have..ahaha). I understand that it is not a complex literature, but I grew up with that book series, which holds a very special place in me.

In the series, I really like "Avatar, the legend of Aang", because I like martial arts and the oriental culture). Also I like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, because it includes monsters, great flights and empowered women. Recently I really like “Smiley” , a Spanish LGBT love story short-serie. Also like “Ru-Paul Drag Race”, “The Wheel of time” and “The bear”.

In the music, I like Argentinian trap, pop and rock music. The artist that i listed to the most today are Dillom, Lali, Thiago PZK, Trueno, Catupecu Machu, Miranda y Turf. Also, I like electronic music and the DJs I like are Hernan Cattáneo, Nico Moreno and Artbat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the president of my School Council at the age of 15 years old.
I got a scholarship to do the high school in a really good school.
I got a scholarship to study in a really great university in Argentina.
I got a scholarship from the State Department, to have courses and workshops in Boston, MA in 2008.
I got elected as a member of my City Council in the City of Buenos Aires.
I got selected among the 50 best projects globally that empowered communities through economic development: https://www.global-solutions-initiative.org/young-global-changers/alumni/class-of-2022/

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to give classes of martial arts while I was in high school: Pa Kua.
I gave classes to illiterate adult people while I was at College.
I try to learn from my peers in my political party how to be a better political activist
I am taking classes to get a master degree in finance. I wanted to complement my profile. It’s been a great challenge for me, but it is worth the effort that I am making.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Openness, friendliness and many stories.
I am very respectful about timing, not bothering or interfering with people's life or routines.
If you are not that kind of person (that takes time to understand the other, and it is aware that our actions have consequences on others) we are not in tune.
