Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Juan, 23 years old, with Spanish and Colombian nationality. I currently live in Madrid, where I work as IT Technician using English as my main professional language. I moved here because of the opportunities in technology and personal growth that Europe offers.
I come from a Colombian family and grew up with strong values such as responsibility, respect, and discipline. I’m a calm, organized, and reliable person. I don’t smoke, drink, or use drugs, and I maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
I enjoy nature, mountains, rivers, animals, and outdoor activities. I’ve practiced cycling and football, and I go to the gym regularly. I’m a bit shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, I’m friendly, open, and easy to connect with.
I love traveling, discovering beautiful places, and sharing meaningful conversations. I also enjoy music a lot and play drums, guitar, and bass.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing because I truly believe in cultural exchange and human connections. I’m interested in experiencing places through local perspectives, not just as a tourist.
I’m especially interested in Zurich because I have plans to work and live there in the future. I don’t have family in Switzerland, so I see Couchsurfing as a way to meet people, learn about the culture, and make this process more human and comfortable.
I’m not looking for free accommodation, but for meaningful connections, shared experiences, and mutual respect.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very broad musical taste. I enjoy rock, alternative music, rap, trap, and pop.
My favorite band is Twenty One Pilots, and my favorite artist is Milo J. I also enjoy alternative and experimental sounds. Music is an important part of my life, and I play drums, guitar, and bass.
Reggaeton is not really my style, but I’m always open to discovering new music.
My favorite movie is Interstellar because of its mix of science, emotion, and deep questions about time and humanity.
My favorite series is Dark, and my favorite anime is Attack on Titan. I enjoy stories that are deep, complex, and thought-provoking.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most meaningful things I’ve done is leaving the country where I grew up and where my entire family lives, to pursue a better future in Europe.
It wasn’t easy, but I’m proud of the courage, discipline, and independence it required. This experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of long-term planning.
