About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Move to Mparntwe (Alice Springs)!! Realised it's time for a sea change, or something like that, so a friend and I are packing up our place in Sydney and heading out to the center of Australia to see what it's like living in Alice surrounded by mountain ranges under that big beautiful sky.

ABOUT ME

Dreamer, observer, nature-seeker... lover of all the usual things that make life good: delicious books, dear friends, learning stuff, fixing it yourself, hiking with everything you need in your pack, dark beer, darker humour, time spent in nature, time spent with people, so many other things...

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh at yourself, laugh at everything else, try to appreciate how magic things are, know that everyone's just trying to do their best, always return to nature and the rest will work itself out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it makes sense! Love what couchsurfing represents and is all about... sharing, community and creating experiences with people :)

Interests

Mmm. So many things.... enjoy any and all activities that involve being near trees, the ocean or mountains. A few things I'm trying to learn at the moment: basic car mechanics, fishing, ukulele.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading: Overstory

"What an astonishing thing a book is. One glance at it and you’re inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, an author is speaking clearly and silently inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. Books break the shackles of time. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic." Carl Sagan

I like music to move the body to, music to fall into dreams to, music that transports you, music that you just can't helping singing along with, music to share with someone that's on your mind, music that is memory, music that speaks to the soul.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you.... how to make a memory palace!

We all have so much to learn from and teach one another! Ha. That's my way of saying I'm not really sure what I can teach but will share whatever I can :)
