About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We are experienced travellers who enjoy seeing the way people all over this little planet make their way. Love the concept of being able to offer accommodation to people from all walks of life and around the globe.

ABOUT ME

We are a Christian couple living out our mission of helping others in this world. We believe we all meet each others needs in some way and are like sandpaper rubbing off the rough spots and polishing our surfaces. It's been a pleasure to have lived in several countries for extended periods and getting to know the culture so much better. Now we have returned to New Zealand we are happy to invite you to come and enjoy the 'best corner of the world'. We live in a prime tourist area with lots of nature to enjoy although we are 12km away from the nearest town so you need transport. We expect you to bring your own food so stop off in Thames town as there is only a small shop up here, though you can buy takeaways and essential items. Welcome! Haere Mai, Haere Mai.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love to host and to be hosted. One night stays only.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had visitors staying from all kinds of places and have stayed with hosts in Israel, Austria, and Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Greece and the USA. There are many sites offering this service to travellers which is great. We belong to two others. We don't mind that we just sleep at your place and you at ours. No pressure to entertain in any way! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have lived in several countries for 2+ years with Jan teaching and Bruce building/carpentary work. The joy of experiencing these cultures and seeing the history is amazing. We loved living in Bible lands especially - now when we read the Book, it is so much more alive. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A bed and suggestions of what you really 'must see' here on the Coromandel Peninsular. We offer only ONE NIGHT stays, sorry. (We also run a BnB - go to the website: AirBnB if you want to stay longer.)

Countries I’ve Visited

American Samoa, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Canada, Egypt, England, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Macao, Samoa, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States
