ABOUT ME

I grew up in Port Townsend, a small town in Washington State, USA. I'm currently a student of Germanic Studies at the University of Chicago.

PHILOSOPHY

If the world were some weird unknown animal, I would be the kid compelled to go poke it with a stick. I like adventure, newness and novelty. I constantly remind myself that the world is what is and that we view it in light of our norms and opinions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I definitely prefer to socialize like an introvert, but I try not to let this get in the way of meeting new and interesting people. I'm very driven and always like to be doing something.

Interessen

I absolutely love listening to music. I'm also getting increasingly interested in fashion. No real hobbies to speak of, but I do practice archery regularly. In intellectual terms, I like to talk about psychology, religion, language, biology, and my own pet obsession, theories of self-organizing systems. Most of all, however, I like listening to people because there's an unimaginable amount of things I don't know.
