About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is a long way of finding my mission. The process is what matters.

ABOUT ME

I'm one of those people who need things to be changing all the time,I mean feeling safe and stable gets me to decadanse, so meeting new people (and travelling, of course) is a source of inspiration for me.I believe that most people in this project have the same strain.I can't resist people who are interested and willing to experience more than just main sightseeing places, who can spend a sleepless night talking about art, culture or anything else that matters (exceeding the limits of their backyard).I also must say that I'm not one of those stereotypically nice girls if measuring by "appropriate feminine behaviour rules". I mean at times I can do almost anything that gets to my head, even if I know the consequences ain't gonna be pleasant. It's like a "dare you" to myself.
I feel better with ironical people - they don't get offended by some of my unconsidered jokes and comments and don't take themselves too serious. I don't wanna sound to radical - generally I'm a really comunicative person: I love meeting people, showing them around, I'm always willing to share and accept different opinions and outlooks.

PHILOSOPHY

I think every person has his own ways to find the probably non-exitent (or maybe all-embracing, if you like to believe so better) "meaning of life". Mine is trying to experience EVERYTHING in this world (that is affordable of course) - whether it's good or bad, pleasant or sore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to show you arouns nd introduce you to the more secret side of Lithuanian culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled in Italy and Austria with CS and it was a great thing, even if sometimes we got tired of trying to adapt to the ever changing environment.

Interests

I'm an addict of theatre. Of course the rest of art species are my major interests as well - painting, music, cinema, photography and everything else. I'm really intrested in philosophy, though I couldn't pretend I know much about it, but, on the other hand,I don't think there's anyone who could sincerely say that he knows a lot =](oh, but people can say that they know more than... - that's quite likely) I just think that a human being naturally questions many things (some do it more often than others) and from those furhter questions the philosphy is born. One way or another... I probably don't even have to mention that I love travelling :)I think every journey is significant school of life where you get a chance to face yourself and your world, broaden it's limits.I allways dream of travelling alone but my time for this hasn't come yet.
What else...
folklore, mithology and so on. Everything obout the past mostly :)

Music, Movies, and Books

If talking about music I like mostly old school rock (like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, King Crimson,The Doors, Kiss,Jimmy Hendrix,Queen, Pink Floyd and so on) and grunge(seattle sound), but I listen to jazz, classics, bossa nova, some punk rock. I listen to Frank Zappa, Nick Cave, The Cure, PJ Harvey, Astor Piazzola, Franz Ferdinand, U2, Tiger Lillies, RHCP and Bob Marley and many others. I'm a major fan of Pearl Jam.Love them. Literature (God bless it all) - Starting with F.Dostojevski and M.Bulgakov, finishing with R.M.Rilke and J.L.Borges. It just is too complicated to try and count them all... Movies - Life is a miracle, The Hours, The Wall (Pink Floyd), The Green Mile, Adam's apples, The Revolver,Persona, Zelig, Midsummer night sex, Wild Strawberries, The Sheltering Sky, Brasil,Delikatessen, City of Lost Children, Cosmic Oddyssey, Forrest Gump, Black Sun, La Conziquensa de l'amore (I'm not sure if that's the exact name) and so on...Oh and I must admit I like LOTR and The Matrix (1 part) - that can be forgiven, right? :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Things that are amazing to me might seem simple to you. Many things that made an amazing impression on me are just moments of some deeper realisation that came to me and left after a secound, sending an echo of something found and lost again.
Oh, and I've shaved my head three times in life - in my environment it was quite a heroic deed :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can introduce you to the folk culture ( folk music and mithology) of Lithuania and maybe teach you some songs. Just ask me about it and I'll see if I can help.
