Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet and make friends with people who live in cities that I've always wanted to visit! And for all the other usual reasons.. learning about someone else's rhythm and way of life, visiting off the beaten track restaurants and sites, sharing home meals etc. And hopefully having the chance to once day return someone's hospitality in my own home

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: anything that makes the strange familiar and the familiar strange.. any book by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Khlaed Hosseini, Paulo Coehlo, the list goes on..

Movies: I like anything kind of european art-housy (right through from Haneke style horror to things like blue is the warmest colour, I Daniel Blake, PRIDE).

Music: anything soft/electronic... maribou state, submotion orchestra, George Fitzgerald, bicep and then all the folky stuff - Nick Mulvey, Laura Marling! currently discovering the Alabama Shakes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly I am happy to share some relaxed atmosphere, drinks and good conversation, but I can also speak a bit of Welsh (a little like Elvish) and I'm more than happy to teach. I also play the piano
