Overview
About Me
I graduated University in May with a degree in Computer Engineering and I decided to backpack solo around Europe for 2 months before I start my job. I quickly realized that the best part was the people I was meeting in hostels rather than the places I saw, and I believe couchsurfing will take the experience to the next level!
I enjoy playing guitar, piano and ukulele, sailing on the water, aimlessly walking around new cities, eating local cuisine, camping, hiking, finding the best view of city and taking a panorama, snowboarding/wakeboarding when I get the chance, and engaging in rational and open-minded political discussions. This is a small list but I think a comprehensive list would be excessive.
My sister recommended couchsurfing to me but I did not really take it seriously until I arrived to Sevilla, Spain at 8pm without a place to stay. After walking around for a few hours, I finally asked a man riding a bike for directions to a wifi-enabled cafe and after talking for 20 minutes, it was revealed that he was a couchsurfing host with 500+ guests (@HUNDREDCLUB). He invited me to stay and voila I was introduced to the couchsurfing world. We had a great two days together and I really got to see an authentic side to Sevilla. Now, Im looking to experience more cities across Europe through the couchsurfing community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet the open-minded type people that are willing to share their couches with strangers! I believe that it takes a positive and unique outlook on life to be willing to open up your home to a person on the internet. Once I settle down in my new home in Atlanta, GA, I definitely plan on hosting whoever wishes to visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
For the most part, I enjoy alternative and electronic rock. I do listen to rap occasionally when Im in the mood and even some classical when I'm really up for it.
I love watching thought-provoking movies like Memento, 11:14 and The Prestige, however I always enjoy the occasional comedy or feel-good movie. I don't feel too strongly about romantic/love-story movies.
As for books, my favorite author is Ken Follett, especially his books with a historical aspect. My favorites are Pillars of the Earth and The Century Trilogy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've flown a plane solo (twice). Also jumped out of one (once).
Teach, Learn, Share
I was definitely an amateur traveler when I started out at the beginning of this trip, but I believe I've learned a lot. I was slightly apprehensive about traveling alone but I've learned that it is absolutely the way to go. Traveling with friends is vacation, but traveling alone is traveling. Solo traveling opens doors that would never have been opened otherwise. (Like accidentally having my first couchsurfing experience!)
