LOVE / LIKE / CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT:

+ cooking and eating duuh // it's my way of meditation, cooking I mean...
+ movies // I have a golden snitch tattoo... so guess which movie is my favourite
+ animals // love cats even if they are the biggest bitches of the world
+ walking/hiking // I would love to do Camino de Santiago one day...
+ cleaning // I am simply obsessed with cleaning that's all, it's also my way to calm down
+ travelling // love to do it in a different cheap non-touristic way, nice to be an example to people who still believe that travelling is an expensive and hard thing to do
+ trying new things // even if I am freaking out but I know I have to overcome my fears

MOTTO (OR TRYING):

MY LOCATION:

I am originally from Lithuania. My heart is in the capital city - Vilnius where I lived for about 7 years. For a summer I lived in the United States. The last two weeks I spent in New York. I LOVED IT! It was my dream city which I always wanted to visit. After New York I stopped in Ireland to travel more but... never left it. Now I am living and working in Dublin.

You never know what can happen in life so do your best and enjoy every minute of it!

P.S. Thinking of moving to Canada in the future. Probably to Toronto. Any tips or stories to share?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The story is...

I started travelling late. Like really late. Everyone around me was travelling a lot at that time. I felt weird because I was afraid to do the same even if I really wanted to. But how does it say better later than never, right?

Simply, I was afraid to leave my comfort zone, leave my country, afraid of speaking english and afraid of so many more things which were in my head (yeah it was only in my head as I realised it later). My first trip abroad was in 2015 when I was about 22 years old and already studied in college. The trip wasn't anywhere far or exotic. It was a neighbouring country. Buuut... that trip made me realise that I want to see the world, I want to discover new places and I simply want to overcome my fears. Scary I know! So... I am here because I am trying to leave my super cozy warm comfort zone and want to see what I can find in this wide wide world. I would like to do that in different ways such as volunteering, couchsurfing, house sitting, you get the point. These ways are more interesting for me than to book a hotel room and go on a tour with other tourists. I am not saying that being a tourist is bad. If you like it go for it! I want to have new experiences in new places with locals, I like to see unknown hidden places which only locals know. I also like to do my deep search and discover places on my own. I simply like to feel that I am a local one too even if it's for a short time.

Music, Movies, and Books

A book which has stuck in my head since high school - 'Desert Flower' by Waris Dirie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am proud of myself that I did solo travelling. It was the very beginning of my travelling journey so being alone in another country was a big deal. I was in Warsaw, Poland. I was all by myself for about a week. It was a very spontaneous trip right after I broke up with a guy after a long relationship... I felt that I needed to do it. It was a really great experience to rely only on myself. Highly recommended!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a delicious vegetarian burger which tastes better than any meat burger!
