It's so much more fun to explore a new place if you get to know locals who know the best "secret spots" and share your passion for travelling.
Plus I would like to meet and host travellers while I'm at home and can't be travelling myself!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Volunteering at a boarding school for Aborigines in Australia for a year and living together with 10-12 international volunteers.

Following my heart and not starting university when everyone else did but going to England as well to volunteer at a boarding school for blind and visually impaired students for a year.

Camping in the Outback of Australia: kayaking at Lake Argyle, seeing wild crocodiles/snakes/etc., watching the most beautiful sunsets, no access to electricity, hiking through an amazing landscape, drinking water out of the lake, appreciating the beauty of nature.
