Hi! My name is Judith and I am 22 years old. I am the eldest of a big family with 5 siblings. I love travelling all around the world to meet new people and share our cultures. In my everyday life, I like cooking, spending time with my siblings and friends, going on hikes and adventures.
I study aerospace engineering and decided to take a gap year in between my studies in order to gain experience and travel. During the first half of my gap year, I did an internship in Czech Republic. For the second half, I decided to follow my dreams and go backpacking in South-East Asia with my boyfriend. His name is Samuel, he is 22 years old and studies engineering as well.

Random facts to know us better :

1) We both were scouts when we where younger. 🏕️

2) Samuel plays a lot of music (oboe, guitar and singing). Judith used to play some violin but she abandoned because she is tone deaf… 🎼

3) We have more than 50 cousins if we count the two of us 🤯

4) Samuel is a wine lover. He does wine tasting contests with his university. However, he doesn’t like cheese, which is very weird for a French guy 🍷

5) We both did an Erasmus exchange for our studies, during 2023 second semester. Judith in Roma (Italy) and Samuel in Stockholm (Sweden) 🌎

6) We are both passionate about food and we look forward to discovering Thai food 🍲

7) Judith loves sliding, both on the snow (skiing) and on the sea (wind surfing) 🏄‍♀️

8) We like playing games with friends and we’ve brought play cards and dices to have fun with our hosts 🎲

9) Judith has a baby brother who is 5 months old and is the cutest baby. She loves taking care of him 🐣🍼

10) Sam has read each Harry Potter book at least six times 📖

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With my boyfriend, we decided to follow our dreams and go on an adventure. Our project is to spend 5 months in South-East Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia), backpacking and hitchhiking.
Our goal is not to follow a touristic route but rather to get to know locals and live an authentic and life-changing experience.
This is why couchsurfing seems like the ideal solution for us. We are looking forward to sharing a meal, a talk, a song and laughs with you. But above all we want to meet people who will make our trip unforgettable !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was fifteen years old, I went to the United States for one year by myself. I was hosted by an American family and went to highschool as any American girl. I also joined the Crosscountry team of my school. This year was challenging and amazing in the mean time. I learned so much about me and others. I met wonderful people that opened their home and heart to me, and I am forever thankful for this.
