Overview
About Me
I am an open-minded bi-gal looking forward to meeting new people via Couchsurfing. I haven't travelled a lot in the past, but I would love to explore (more) new cities and countries in the future. I try to be mindful about my presence in other countries (e.g. read up on the culture before travelling, obey local rules, not take photo's without people's consent !!, etc.) and find it important that others (especially western tourists) do the same. I am a vegan and would love to connect with other vegans on CS, as finding vegan food in different places isn't always easy. Intersectional feminism and sustainability are important parts of my life as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I go someplace I haven’t been before, I want to meet locals and see their city/country through their eyes rather than just follow a tourism guide. I have been living in Brussels for over six years now and I know it quite well, so I can help you plan your trip here.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach/help with the languages I speak (German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish) and I hope to learn some Italian one day. I also would love to expand my knowledge of the Polish and Russian language (used to learn/speak them but that was some time ago).
I love cooking and can teach/share delicious vegan recipes.
During my time in Mexico, I fell in love with salsa dancing and I love to get chances to practice.
I want to get better at yoga (am at a beginner's level) so if you practice yoga and are willing to invite me to join I'd be down :)
Also I try to visit one bookstore in every city I go to, so if you know a great bookstore (preferably independent rather than belonging to a huge company), I'll take that recommendation!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge of the city of Brussels (food, must-sees, bars, clubs, flea markets, public transportation, ...) and a matress. Hospitality and good company :)
EDIT: I recently moved into a small, one-room studio so I unfortunately can't host at the moment. But I'm definitely planning on hosting again once I'll live in a more spacious apartment.
