ABOUT ME

I'm friendly, open-minded, love to travel and like to meet people from all around the world. I love life and enjoy everything with a smile! I love to meet people and share experiences and good moments.

I studied my bachelor in environmental sciences at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. After that, I worked as a chemistry teacher, gardener and receptionist for several months, and then joined the Greenpeace ship the Arctic Sunrise as a volunteer deckhand for three months. During this trip, we sailed to the Arctic Ocean (close to the North Pole) and Svalbard. I met many lovely people from all different cultural backgrounds and experienced being in the middle of nature, surrounded by sea and ice. It was amazing and it made me enthousiastic to explore the world and help where I can to protect the oceans.

PHILOSOPHY

LAUGH, enjoy life, travel, and leave this planet in a better state than when I came! I am passionate about the protection of animals and the environment.

One of the things I love most about life is new perspectives and viewpoints... that's why I like meeting new people, seeing new places, having interesting conversations, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to the Arctic, close to the North Pole, and seeing the polar bears, seals, walrusses, etc. with my own eyes.

Teach, Learn, Share

teach: environmental stuff, Dutch, chemistry, mathematics, deckhand skills....
learn: anything! languages, practical skills, other interesting knowledge.... I am always eager to learn more!
