ABOUT ME

Hiya everyone!

I have traveled the world for a bit and have unleashed an unquenchable wanderlust.
After traveling New Zealand and Australia on a working holiday visa for three years I decided I wasn't quite ready yet to settle back at home in the Netherlands. I looked for adventures and found mine in a Psychology degree in Galway, Ireland.

I love dancing, singing, and well, music in general. I am always up for crazy last minute adventures or chill hangouts. Let meet up!

Unfortunately my landlord no longer wanted to rent out my room so I'm homeless in Galway at the moment. I'm hoping to get back to hosting once I find a new room, but for now all I can do is meet up and go for adventures together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing has made my past trips sooo much better and going on a trip now that does not involve couchsurfing at some point seems odd and unsatisfying to me. And even when I have to settle somewhere for a bit I can travel in a way by hosting others (if my living arrangements allow it). Love it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What I love most about couchsurfing is the stories you hear. I think everyone has interesting stories as long as one is willing to listen without judgement. When you learn about new cultures and new languages, you learn new concepts that make you understand the world better and make you experience it fuller.

Interests

I really enjoy making music, mostly singing. My to go to styles are musical theatre and pop, but I will try to sing anything that you throw at me really. I also enjoy dancing, horse riding, hiking, hanging out with friends, playing games (board, video, anything really), reading, and learning languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't know much about films, I really need to educate myself in that... Recommendations are always appreciated!
I do know a lot of books and that makes it hard to name a favorite. I basically just like all the genres:)
Music wise, I have a very broad taste. There are not many styles that I cannot listen to at all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every trip I've done has been amazing for its own reason. I've been lucky enough to see very different corners of the world and be surprised and delighted at all the gems hidden in each culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am one of those people that stores up on random facts that tend to come out at random times. So if you hang out with me, you might just so happen to learn something useful (or not, depending on how you look at it).

What I Can Share with Hosts

long conversations, fun facts galore, some cooking, but mostly baking skills. And I've taught some hosts how to read korean, I mean, can you think of any more useful skill?
