About Me

CURRENT MISSION

enjoying life

ABOUT ME

My best friend used to say it is curiosity that shapes our way of looking at life, and I think she might just be right about that. I look at life as a never ending process of learning and that is why I enjoy it so much. I consider myself fortunate to have lived in different countrys. I did an internship at a museum in San Diego, one at a newspaper in Hungary, attended a school in Norway for a year, and worked with horses in Scottland right out of highschool in order to learn better english. CS and traveling in general have put me in some situations that made me see the world differently, which I really appreciate. The last 9 years I have been living in Vienna and lernd to love it. At the Moment I am working as a teacher.

PHILOSOPHY

never stop learning, listening, traveling, talking, laughing, loving ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I first joint this community, I lived in a flat were we had almost every week people staying with us. That changed when I moved out because I lived at several locations where we had no extra room. Since I have my one apartment now, I am happy to welcome travelers. But I only have a singl guest bed so I can only host 1 person a time. So please don´t write to me when you are traveling in a group or as a couple. I don´t like people sleeping on the floor, that is no option for me.

Interests

To get to know people who love what they do and are passionate about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't know that much about movies, I am more into books: Nancy Horan (loving Frank) Berthold Brecht (Die Dreigroschenoper) Simone de Beauvoir (Das Andere Geschlecht, Das Blut der Anderen) Thomas Bernhard (Ein Kind) Arther Miller (Timebends) Ken Keessy (One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest) George Orwell (1984) Lee Harper (To Kill a Mockingbird) Aldous Huxley (Brave new World) Michail Bulgakow (Der Meister und Margarita) Dostojewskij (Der Doppelgä¤nger) Franciose Gilot (Leben mit Picasso) Erlend Loe (Naiv. Super.) Marita Lorenz (Lieber Fidel.) Eva Illouz (Warum liebe weh tut) Franz Kafka (die Verwandlung, der Prozess) Muriel Barbery (Die Intelligenz des Igels) Janosch (Gastmahl auf Gomera) Milan Kunderas (Die unerträgliche Leichtigkeit des Seins) Peter Härtling (Leben lernen) ...

Music is an important topic because it can make moments unforgettable but it is hard to reduce to one favorite and I'm always open for new artists.
