About Me

I finished my master in philosophy last year and decided to do some practical work instead of thinking: so I started an education in woodworking. Besides that I work in a outdoor shop, since I love the outdoors: wildcamping, hiking, cycling, skiing, and so on. I'm trying to keep my life simple and to challenge myself in doing that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surfed in Iceland, Berlin and Greece which were very nice experiences. I enjoyed seeing the non touristic aspects of the places and the good and personal talks with my hosts. This is a way of travelling (and maybe even a way of life) that I find very valuable and inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some years ago I hitchhiked around Iceland on my own, which was my first real hitchhiking experience. Standing aside of an empty road in an empty, almost moonlike landscape waiting for some car to pass by and pick me up.

Another very impressive experience was my first solo multiple day hike in the Cairngorms in Scotland. Carrying everything I needed in my rucksack. I was there for four days, three nights all alone in an absolutely beautiful and empty landscape.
