North American Road and City Trip!!!

ABOUT US
Hello world,

my boyfriend Matthias and I are very excited to go on our first road trip together. We will start in Edmonton, Canada and then make our way through the west of the country to Vancouver. After that we also want to explore parts of the United States. We don't have any definite plans for the second half of this trip but we're currently planning and thinking and reading more about ways to spend our time and money until we leave New York in the end of September for another great country - Iceland. Because we are students we're travelling on a low budget, which includes camping, hostels and hopefully some great couches to surf.

It is possible that you will receive a message from either Matthias or me, because we are sharing this account.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My Couchsurfing experience is still very limited. I spent some great days and nights in Boston, Nashville, San Francisco and Honolulu sleeping on couches, floors or even a boot. But I think Couchsurfing is a great alternative to stays in hostels or hotels because you get in touch with people actually living in the places you want to explore. We both can't wait to get some insider tips and have a wonderful time with awesome hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a tough question. As I am a student of English Literature, I love books and there are a lot of great stories in the world! One of my favorite books is Jane Eyre. I also love Brick Lange, White Teeth and The Buddha of Suburbia. But I bet in a few weeks I will add and change the list again. This is just a small taste.
Movies: Pixar movies are great because they make movies enjoyable for every age, but I also like other movies like Fight Club or Monsieur Claude and his daughters - so you see I am not limited to any genre.
Music is even a wider topic but if you make a playlist including the Beatles, BOY, some German musicians and bands of the 90s you make me happy.

I am a German teacher so I could teach you some German :D
And Matthias knows some crazy science stuff, so I bet he'd love to share some of his insights.
I think we are very laid back people who just want to hang out, see the world and meet great people, who could turn into friends all over the world.
