About Me
THIS IS NOT A DATINGAPP.
I try to find the perfect combo between doing everything and nothing.
I like to see the best in people and the future. And through travelling and my job as a teacher that hope is getting affirmed time and time again. I don't like to be inactive so wether that is through sports like hiking, horseback riding or going to the gym I'll be most likely be out. But although I'm quite extraverted I do need my down time, to retreat and be on my own from time to time (especially in bigger cities). During down time I love reading, cooking or writing in my diary (I actually just started during my travels and really enjoy it!).
I'm a big fan of animals and plants in all forms and sizes. My fav poisons are dark beers and wiskey. Preferred food is East Asian cuisine. Not religious but I am 'spiritually curious'.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love stories. Real ones. It began with hitchhiking and now through couch surfing you come across the best people and their stories.
And since I really do try to avoid crowded places, insiders info is needed to find the hidden gems. Like with Amsterdam, it is overloaded with tourists at the moment and getting to know the real Netherlands is really hard. Everything is really focused at fast-travelling tourist that you easily miss the best. Via couchsurfing you meet the people that knows the city the best and help you focus on what to do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled for 7 months by myself through Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Laos and Vietnam. Only took 4 flights, mostly over land or water.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach biology to highschoolers at a Steiner/Waldorf school and trying to learn Korean. I also really enjoy cooking and dining together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you some Dutch if you like. Or help with your English although I'm not a native speaker. Or cook for you. Although the Dutch cuisine isn't all that fancy to try if you ask me.
I like a beer, a good laugh and hikes or bicycle rides. So let's go out and do something!
