Overview
About Me
My name is Judy. I'm really excited about starting my PhD in September on what people living through the crisis in Greece want the world to be like in the future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing makes travel accessible for people without loads of money - instead of relying on your income, you rely on your sociability, and the generosity of strangers. It's really awesome and exactly the kind of thing the Internet is best for - making real connections between people all over the world, with real material impacts! I've couchsurfed a lot - I hitchhiked all around the Balkans, Europe and Scandinavia from February to September 2007 with my friend Ian, couchsurfing pretty much every night, and meeting some lifelong friends. I've also hosted couchsurfers from Germany, America, France and Spain.
Interests
Books, maps, architecture and city planning, geometric patterns, autonomist marxism, anthropology, critical theory, dreams, textiles, embroidery, illustration (my webcomic is glowfallover.tumblr.com). I'd rather be a cyborg than a goddess.
