About Me

Yet another heartbeat on the planet trying to figure out what to do with the heartbeats that are left. I have my mind concluded on many things, a career, and an incredible privilege to be able to travel, but I wonder what I can do better beyond just focusing on myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I work on organizing events in whatever community I happen to be in at the time. At current, look out for my posts in the Chicago CS group, in there I tend to post events that fall under the category of unique fun like Urban Exploration, L-Rides, Flash Mobs, etc.

My love affair with Couchsurfing started when visiting a city in the US and wanting to meet local people. After that I became involved with it for 5 more years heavily doing organizing, hosting, and traveling. I took a long break from it, but recently back doing hosting when I can and organizing events.

Interests

Biking, running, camping, hiking, astronomy, entrepreneurship, traveling, games, programming, socializing, akward dancing, beer, hosting guests, cooking vegan food, organic farming (my mother has one!), flying!, and other stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronica, Rock and or Roll, Meh-tal, Folk Music, Trip-Hop, World Music, Select Hip-Hop

Books: Anything Orson Scott Card, Dorky Science & Computer Books, Science Fiction Books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flown Planes, Jumped out of planes, Participated in a 2 week simulation of a manned mars mission in the middle of the utah desert (see the photo in my pics), helped get a US Congresswoman elected, Saw one of the first private manned spaceship launches in history, helped build real spaceships, started up 2 moderately successful companies, lived in Germany for 6 months, traveled a ton.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been a tech entrepreneur for a long time. I know how to build businesses and sell ideas. If you really need help in this area, I can give you my assistance in getting your business or non-profit off of the ground.

I'm also good at math if you need the help.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A helping hand, a cooked meal, a real exchange, friendship, handywork, entrepreneurial advice & philosophy.

I can well afford hotels when I travel, and I'll get those when I don't feel like interacting. When I do surf, it's strictly to have a positive social and cultural exchange with local people and build bridges.

I've been doing CS for 10 years and I know the meaning and good etiquette of it extremely well, and when I'm guest, I fully live the meaning & etiquette.
