About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life and not take myself too seriously!

ABOUT ME

I'm a former scientist (but still love science) a performer and an atheist. I have been juggling for 17 years. I love animals, especially dogs. I like to think I've lived a very rich and interesting life so far, and wish to continue to. I've worked in a zoo, a factory, a biotech company, at a university, a driving range, as a juggler in large theaters, small cabarets and the streets. I played music in one shape or form for about 12 years (piano, organ, trombone, baritone, tuba and bass guitar), but don't really have time for it any more. I've peered through an electron microscope at mitochondria and nuclear pores and seen Kansas from the top of Pike's peak in Colorado. I'm always looking forward to my next adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

I always want to be learning. To me, that is one of the greatest joys in life. I'm constantly looking for new and unique experiences and genuinely interesting people to share them with. I strive not to take myself too seriously, but to take the needs and desires of others seriously and always be kind. I love sharing and teaching.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is so hard for me to fill in. I have read so many fantastic books, and seen so many amazing movies and listened to so much awesome music. In general, I like just about any kind of movie/book/music, but to give you a taste of what appeals to me, I'll just list a few examples.

Movies: Monty python and the Holy Grail, American History X, Goodwill Hunting, Top Secret, any Indiana Jones

Music: Soundgarden, Jurassic 5, Aerosmith, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Green Day

Books: Ender's game, Harry Potter series, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hitchhiker's trilogy, A Short History of Nearly Everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have trained with a circus school for about a week. That counts for both done/seen to me. It was an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to juggle! Not just three balls, but just about anything (clubs, rings, devil sticks, diabolos, poi, contact juggling, rola-bola, and a little bit of hats, cigar boxes and staff spinning). I know a bit about Biology, mostly molecular, and Virology. I'd love to learn more about performing, comedy, gymnastics and just about any circus school that exists.
