Although I get shy around new people at first, I like to meet new friends and experience new things. It's those interactions and random experiences in life that are truly priceless.
I LOVE: Stories. Of any kind, really, whether it be from books, films, shows, pictures, random inanimate objects or, best of all, people. A good story makes me feel small in this vast universe, and feels like a newly discovered little secret. Longboarding. It's a big part of my life, and I spend many hours of my free time doing it. Not only is it great fun, it also makes me feel part of a community that exists in any urban part of the world. Longboarding allows me to meet friends and skate with them no matter where I am in the world! Pasta. It's reliable food. Nutritious, delicious, and quite simple to make. Pancakes. Not as reliable as pasta, but super tasty. Pancakes and bacon drizzled with syrup is a great energy source for a day of action! Even better with coffee, which is also something I love.
I HATE: Phonies. Like fake brickwork or cars that look cooler than they work. And the people equivalent. Buffets. What's the point of 'em?
Also, my friends call me Jewy, so address me by that name when requesting to stay.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Many people in the world have amazing stories to tell, and all it takes to hear one is to ask. When I first discovered this, I was blown away by how easy it can be to make friends and meet new people and expand my mind by listening to their stories. I joined Couchsurfing to connect with others who like to listen to stories and tell some in return. Also, I want to offer a place to stay for those who are traveling, as lodging should not be a hindrance in having adventures.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Douglas Adams! I respect this author and his work more than any other. One of my favorite books is Salmon of Doubt, which is a collection of his essays, articles and interviews. His intelligent sense of humor and outlook on life is something I greatly admire and look up to. It was from reading his books that I learned to laugh about anything and everything in the world. My favorite music album is The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. I don't know why exactly, but the underlying futuristic theme and poignancy may be it. I also really enjoy Ed Sheeran's music.
I watch a lot of films. I just love them because I love stories. I appreciate good cinematography and film direction too. Big fan of Edgar Wright's films, Wes Anderson, and all Pixar films. I like to watch romance films alone, to let myself think. I like to check out Oscar winning films at the theatres. But I’m not good with horror because I scare easily.

I went to Paris to compete in a longboard freestyle competition! It was spontaneous and I spent five days doing nothing but skating with new friends.

I can only hope that my stories will be interesting enough to make an impression, maybe even a change in whoever I meet. And all I want to learn, really, is about you, the reader.
