About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet new people and try new things to remind that the world is a big place full of interesting experiences and people.

ABOUT ME

Well I grew up in the Melbourne in Victoria in Australia. I am the youngest of a rather large family. This meant that my family were not materially rich but there was almost always someone to talk to. Each one of my siblings have something unique about them so Im open to different lifestyles and point of views.

I left Melbourne to study at university in a coastal rural area of my home state, which I very much enjoyed.

After university I worked in science field for a government department for 10 years, then got bored and took off to live in Cork, Ireland for 1.5 years before returning to Melbourne a couple of years ago.

PHILOSOPHY

Dont criticise something until you give it a go.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like foreign Movies and light-hearted comedies, and sometimes those kind of movies you just don't completely understand and muse on it for a few days.

I have an interest in World Music, especially african music, but also own copies of your everyday regular pop music (but no Britney Spears!). I am open to occasionally listening to classical, dance and heavy metal music.

I have an interest in books on Popular science (i.e. those sorts of books that explain why most belly button lint is blue etc.)

I'm studying French so i am getting into some French novels, music, comics and Films at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few of my friends and myself travelled around Japan together. We had a huge range of experiences; from staying at rural campsites and staying at a hotel in Tokyo, going to japanese bath houses, doing karaoke, visiting the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb museum, eating authentic Japanese food and some of its junk food and visiting Okinawa (tropical Japan).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can perhaps teach some cooking skills, but Id love to share cooking skills with people from other countries.

I have travelled through western and eastern europe, and a little bit around Asia and Canada/USA so I may be able to give some tips to others for travelling in these areas.

I often find that I'm helping people talk about their problems and trying to sort them out, and I enjoy doing that (in moderation)

I love learning bits and pieces of different languages [including the rude stuff :)]

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Ireland
