Hola couchsurfers!! I'm a happy, adventurous, energetic, independent person who enjoys meeting new people. I absolutely love travelling and would really like to improve my Spanish. I am genuinely passionate about humanity and the environment. I can hold a good conversation however don't always feel the need to fill every space with words...Overall I'm a pretty easygoing, friendly and helpful kind of person. ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to make some new friends on my travels and to hopefully return the favour for future friends who would like to visit Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to CS but have started opening my home to surfers. I am going to be travelling to Latin America for 3 months with a close friend from Chile at the end of 2013. We plan to travel to parts of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina & Ecuador. ;)

I LOVE music and live concerts. I particularly love \m/ heavy metal \m/ Deftones, Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Faith No More, Rage Against The Machine but I also love many other genres. My taste depends on my mood...Crosses, Moloko, Lloyd Banks, Tupac, Bjork, Lupe Fiasco, Ice Cube, Placebo, Korn, Portishead, Pink Floyd, The Fugees, Ozzy, Fear Factory, Twelve Foot Ninja...the list goes on :D

I love books, documentaries and movies (including foreign & independaant cinema) that promote deep thinking and laughter.

Movies: Strange Days, Pulp Fiction, Valley of Flowers, Bad Boy Bubby, Inception, Sin City, Baraka, Y Tu Mama También, The Motorcycle Diaries, Dogma, The Shaw Shank Redemption, American History X, Act of Valor, El Crimen del Padre Amaro, Amores Perros, Once Were Warriors...

I'm not a fan of commercial TV, I don't generally watch TV on my own but if I do I watch SBS, ABC, Discovery Channel, Fuel TV, Comedy Channel & Nat Geo etc. I'm not fussy when I'm in company though.

I particularly have a passion for Latin America. I love the people, culture, language and biodiversity.

Mexico will always be a life long love, the Aztec floating gardens, Teotijuacan, Mole con Pollo & mi amor Frida Kahlo.

Tikal in the middle of dense rainforest in Guatemala took my breath away as well as the volcanoes & indigenous people of Panajachel on Lake Antigua.

The intricate architecture of Antonio Gaudi inspired by 'la naturaleza' in Barcelona & meeting the guitarist of Iron Maiden in Parke Iguel.

Phi phi island in Thailand stole and broke my heart. Such pristine beauty, yet so much pollution brought by tourism. Both stunning and devastating. I watched young children running around up in the forests hunting birds with a sling shot and cooking them on a tiny candle on the forest floor.

I wish to travel the whole world....
