Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To ride my bike from Florida to New York with my brothers...and meet all sorts of random people along the way!
ABOUT ME
I live in small-town USA and am happily employed as a marketer for an orthopaedic device manufacturer. I enjoy music, coffee, and random adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life! I tend to try to analyze different situations and too often live in the past instead of moving on and seeing what's next. This life is really just prep for the next - when I get to live with Jesus in Heaven. I'm truly an alien here on earth, and I recognize that my pursuits won't lead to true happiness while I'm here, so I try to be content with what I have while exploring everything I can on God's planet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to open up my room to others to be of help and get to know their story as well...I want to broaden my perspective and see the world from others' points of view. At some point I want to ride my bike across the United States and use CS to find places to stay and people to meet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this... not much past experience (except for staying in random churches on past bike trips) - I'm interested in learning all I can!
Interests
Where to start...I'm a jack of all trades, and hopefully a master of a few :) I am musically oriented - I love leading worship on the acoustic guitar, I play trumpet in the school's brass ensemble and pep band, and I tinker around a little on the piano. I also love sports - I played basketball and golf in high school, but will play almost anything...ultimate frisbee tops the list though. I enjoy meeting people and establishing relationships, and am a Resident Assistant at college and also help out with a local church's youth group. I also love business, and am working on building an ebay business and maybe some day a website as well...who knows? I'm still young and the world has countless possibilities! I also enjoy photography and a good cup of cappuccino.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail (truly a classic!), Bourne Identity, Deja Vu
Music: pretty much anything, from Chris Tomlin and Jeremy Camp to Switchfoot and Relient K, from Dashboard Confessional and Everyday Sunday to Saosin and Flyleaf or Collective Soul or Rascal Flatts...I enjoy most!
Books: the Bible, anything by Patrick McManus or Ted Dekker or John Grisham
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rode my bike 400 miles in 5 days with some buddies from church - and found out that I love getting out and about!
I spent 2 weeks in Asia with a small brass ensemble and that really opened my eyes to the world and instilled within me a desire to get to know different kinds of people and find out what makes them tick.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about life...from business principles to random trivia to miscellaneous how-to fix-it skills. I can share my wisdom about music or my love for sports...and hopefully much more as I continue my quest through life!
