ABOUT ME

I feel I am good natured, relaxed and open to new experiences, especially when it comes to food. I love meeting new people from all over the world. I enjoy going off the beaten track and love exploring the less obvious places.

Everything connects eventually. 99% of people are generally great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am usually unable to host in Querétaro but I am interested in meeting new people and hanging out / going out for day trips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had some amazing experiences and hosts and hope for many more in the future. Thanks so much to:

Edgar in Tlaquepaque, Mexico - Awesome day trip to Chapala and Pulque!
Efrain in Taxco, Mexico - Was an awesome NYE with his lovely family in a tiny village outside of the city
Ivonne & Gustavo, Toluca - Wonderful hosts, showed me around their town and sampled very local drinks and cantinas and the next day a great walk to a circular pyramid.
Daniel, San Antonio, USA - Amazing host, showed me some awesome beer bars and had a very memorable trip to Austin!
Estefania, Hermosillo, Mexico - Lovely host, survived an intense storm together and drank in a bar with no lights, introduced me to heaps of lovely surfers.
Pablo, Tijuana, Mexico - Amazing experience. Showed me so much of the history and layout of the city and drank local beer! Hurrah!
Laura, met in Tijuana, Mexico - Lovely lady. Had a great time exploring the bars and then getting back to car and finding the petrol drained! AHH!
Sandra, Mexicali, Mexico - Had the best time ever! Heaps of Christmas parties and met so many wonderful people. Ate Chinese food too. I loved Mexicali.
Manuel, Ensenada, Mexico - Lovely guy, met him before in Hermosillo. Showed me around the city and hung out lots. Shame all the breweries were closed! Ahhh!
Vanessa, Loreto, Mexico – Lovely host. Visited her at the busiest time ever I think. Really friendly and chatty.
Carlos, met up in La Paz, Mexico - Awesome guy, spent New Year's Eve chatting about trave plans.
Jazziel, met up in San Jose del Cabo – Nice, friendly optimistic guy. Had a few beers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love horror movies and cinema in general, love world cinema especially films from Iran. With books I prefer non fiction, but do love adventure and crime novels too. My music taste is crazy wide I love cheesy pop to rock, heavy metal, folk, country, reggae and African music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Georgian food, people and landscapes. Petra in Jordan was one of the most overwhelming experiences of my life. Istanbul Grand Bazaar, fantastic place. Taiwan in general; loved every second of being there. MEXICO! I love travelling in Mexico, everywhere i go has regional differences and they can be huge!!! Love seeking out the local, the unusual and find it very rewarding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honesty, a positive and respectful attitude. A good laugh, life is way too brief to be too serious, although of course I can be when it is necessary...
