About Me

ABOUT ME

I am that i am - Honestly, that is the closest and truest description of myself i can possible give :) But sure, i'm glad to compromise a little and i will try tell something else about myself too:

My name is Jukka, i'm from Finland. I'm kind of a traveller and a cyclist; writing and photographing pays my bills.

In July 2005 i was reading World Map and at that moment my life's path lead me to explore the world on my own. Suddenly i had got an idea of traveling around the world by bicycle. Six years later i came back home after amazing adventures. I had travelled by bicycle across five continents. Between 2013-2015 I cycled 1.5 years on the last continent I hadn't travelled, South-America.

Generally i seem to be living quite a simple life. I do plenty of sports while i'm in home: running and cycling mostly these days. I eat simple natural food. I might also sit down on a park bench and just be. Sometimes i read or listen music in my hammock. I sit a lot in cafes tapping my computer - writing a book, articles or poems.

In a way, i'm just blown by the winds of life wherever they want to blow me. There ain't fulfillment for me in the future, so I let the life's mystery open freely and i shall give my attention to any given presents moment or to any given task and challenge which are at my hands right now, for there lies all the beauty and joy i could ever reach by achieving dreams.

It is time to rest from traveling now. I live in Turku and I am happy to offer my helping hand to other travelers...
