We live in the Blue Mountains with our little girl, Penny, who is 2.5 years old., and Lijsbeth, who is 6 months old.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Did some couch surfing back in 2009. Now that we live in an amazing part of the world we are opening up our house to travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had one terrible couch surfing experience where a crazy man hosted 14 of us in his sisters apartment without her knowledge. There was 1 bed.

We want to provide the complete opposite experience when hosting!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Julia: Kayaking through Abel Tasmin National Park in the South Island of New Zealand. Visiting John O'Groats at the top of Scotland, Stunning!
Played hide and seek with my 4 year old cousin on a sheep farm in the middle of the Yorkshire dales! Holidaying on Hvar in Crotia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Julia: I can bake cakes and biscuits without using a recipe. Cooking dinner for everyone is always a joy for me. I am also into DIY, I can paint, hang cupboards and doors, construct flatpack furniture, use a drill, lay pavers and I am dieing to have a go at tiling.

Lindsay: While living with Julia's family in Holland I fixed everyone's computers! I talk at conferences about doing smart things with lots of computers.
