About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying beauty of the simple and well-known as much as excitement of the nameless...
ABOUT ME
I see life as a beauty, sometimes i can't believe how lucky i am.
I'm a sociologist and fully dedicated to my profession as university teacher and researcher. Once I've been doing ethnographic fieldwork in Goa (India). Now I'm doing research on miscarriage and stillbirth from a social science perspective. What connects my objects of research maybe is the existential question of what is (a good) life and death all about. "What is an art's degree good for? It helps you find meaning where there is none. .. Let me assure you: There is none!" Tim Minchin
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
.. because getting to know people is the most interesting, fulfilling, inspiring and teaching experience one can have. If you want to get to know a place while traveling, it's also the best way to understand the local way of living.
Interests
I love people around me, talking, dancing, music, concerts, photos, remembrances, watching movies, hanging around and sharing thoughts. I've unfortunately quit smoking. However I like to sit next to smokers and breath deeply. I love being alone, reading, walking around in nature, taking pictures, having a bath in Leipzigs beautiful lakes, collecting my life. I like self-irony, i fear cynicism.

Music, Movies, and Books
i've been listening & jumping & screaming & freaking out to quite a few DJs of electronic dance music during the last years... DANCING frees my mind and charges my batteries!
*** Tool, Kyuss, Soap&Skin, Johnny Cash, Faith No More, Mudhoney, Früchte des Zorns, film music, classical music
*** Babel, The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream, The Hours, Million Dollar Hotel, documentaries, german movies, short movies
*** Books - I can't say, it's too many. I like Uwe Timm, Juli Zeh, Wolfgang Herrndorf, just to name some of the German authors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've changed people's perspective. There is more than yes or no, 0 or 1. That's what I have d o n e. Relating to experiences there have been and are so many wonderful things, landscapes, wonders, people, ideas, sounds, colors that enriched my life that I seriously don't know which one to report in particular.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can write your name in Hindi on a rice grain; I can remember 50 named objects at once - and teach you how to do so, too...
