À propos de moi

Hey you! I'm Jule from Germany and still a little new to CS.
Short Disclaimer: I did this profile in 2019, when I was a little more young and dumb and bubbly than now :D
But still - enjoy:

While I might a little bit shy at first you'll easily find out that I'm a fun, adventurous, curious und bubbly person, who'll treat you with (not always funny) jokes and a dash of sarcasm, as soon as we get warmed up.
So, I feel very fortunate to have grown up in a family traveling to different countries. But my whole travel experience just started with me living in the United States for a year and oh my... I guess this is where it all started. I kinda got hooked on this whole traveling thing. It's connecting to the people you travel with, the people you meet along you're travels and even that one person standing next to you at the red signal, that just won't turn green, so you feel like not starting a conversation will just not be an option.
It kind of felt like trying CS would be the legitimate next step in my journey and I would be super grateful for you to help me get the spirit of this community!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Don't get me wrong - I love hostel life and made some of the most inspiring acquaintances in hostel kitchens and shared bathrooms but I feel like CS could give me a whole different view on what traveling could be like. I'm keen on finding out, what or who else there is to discover!

Centres d'intérêt

Im a music person. I sang in a choir for the most of my life and after 14 years of practice I think I've become a quite decent piano player. Ask me to play something and I'll get super awkward about not having any sheet music on me, so I will probably pull out my phone to google a piece somewhere on the spectrum between Disney songs and Chopin nocturnes.

During the last 4 years my passion for music got some serious competition by my passion for sports. While starting out with dancing hip hop, I quickly discovered my love for circus arts when living in Seattle. Seattle introduced me to the addicting practice of flying trapeze, for which I would happily put up with sore muscles, bloody hands and was spending all my money and freetime on. Along with it came the wonderfully colorful, divers, open minded and loving circus community which instantly made me feel welcome.
Germany, not offering me that drug kick, this little addict got into gymnastics, partner acrobatics and trampoline, searching for a substitute.

Edit: Corony took most of my sporty opportunities from me, so I might be a little bit out of shape ;D

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I listen to about anything: indie rock/pop, german singer/songwriters, 80s/90s etc.
And not to forget about classical music. I love any Chopin Nocturne and just recently played Liebestraum No. 3 by Liszt. Also my all time favorites are Tschaikowsky's Barcarolle and the New World Symphony by Dvorak.

Edit: I learned to love techno music during last year, it makes the best party nights.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

-Soaring through the air on a flying trapeze and having the honor of participating in a flying trapeze show.
-Swimming with sea turtles in Hawaii.
-Hiking the West Highland Way in Scotland and eating raspberry trifle wherever I could find one.
-sang Carmina Burana in a big choir
