About Me

My friend and travel companion Sarah and I are currently on a mission to see as much of Europe in one year as Covid and a rather small budget allow us to. Both of us just finished school and we were eager to seek adventure instead of going to uni right away.

We basically have anything we need in our backpacks, so if you do not have a bed for us but would allow us to put our tents in your garden or sleep on your floor we would be grateful to do so :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We feel like Couchsurfing fits our style of travelling better than constantly living in hostels, because it allows us to experience the reality of a country more closely. Learning a lot and challenging our opinions on different topics are two of our goals for this journey so we are interested in meeting people that like to share their points of view.

It seems logical that making deeper connections with people while travelling is quite difficult but we hope to find a few kind people all over Europe that we end up being friends with.

We are looking forward to making good experiences with Couchsurfing and giving something back to the community by becoming hosts ourselves once we have settled down again.

Interests

drinking wine, cooking with friends and having a debate whilst wandering around a city.

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen to many different genres of music. However, one thing we can alway agree on is the standard good old stuff like Queen, R.E.M., U2, and The Cure.
Recently, Message In A Bottle never fails to give us an instant boost of motivation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We once hitchhiked over 450 kilometres in one day!
(at least to us that was impressive and a total surprise)

Also we got vaccinated before beginning our journey so now our arms are magnetic and we can glow in the dark. We will show you if you ask us really nicely.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would you like to know how fungi eat?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sarah makes the best pancakes :)
A glass of wine or a cup of coffee and a conversation about why the house as a concept is so successful in all parts of the world. Or something else. Let’s not start off with the heavy topics here.
