About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If you hear butterflies laugh, you can smell clouds

ABOUT ME

a little unconventional perhaps - I've always tried to swim against the current 'cause I always found it a bit creepy to do what everyone else does and I thought that there must be more to life than that. I've thus experienced a lot that not everyone experiences (spent a year in France working in a circus, a semester in Norway studying in the framework of 'Erasmus', two months in the US - doing research for my MA thesis and working as a wwoofer at a farm, among others) - and I always strive for challenges and new experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

you can get it if you really want

Music, Movies, and Books

movie: 'The Fisher King' (among MANY others); music: almost anything (from Sting over Lauryn Hill to World [particularly Latin American] Music), especially good a cappella music; book: 'The Little Prince' is my Bible, but I adore books, have read tons so far, and it's thus hard to make a selection of the best books ever

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen:
1.) Old Order Amish People in Lancaster County/ Pennsylvania and the way they live their lives - I think the Amish culture in the US is incredibly fascinating!!!
2.) Native American stomp dance and pow-wows. You just have to experience it!!!!
3.) Hindus at the Ganges at 5 a.m. from a rowboat. Unbelievable!

Done: Singing in a gospel choir in Oklahoma. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV82VGTG180
