Overview
About Me
Hello there ! I am Jules, 21, studying History of Art, Philosophy and Anthropology in Paris, quite talkative (doing my best to not being it too much), motivated, curious, easygoing ; I can also cook, do the washing-up and tidy my room (it is useful in daily life).
Actually I am not in Paris, but living in New Haven for studies, and when I am there it will be a pleasure to host you if you wander in Connecticut (less glamorous than Big Apple, but who knows ?)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because, after having lived many adventures in hostels, I have been led to conclude that I was never seeing people from the places I visited. I got tired of usual tourism, which forces us to pass through cities as visitors who see and learn nothing from it. On the opposite, I noticed in my daily life that I didn't really meet people coming from abroad. So this place is, I think, the best way to overcome these two problems and share moments with you !
So I am on Couchsurfing to meet you, you who will need some day a couch, lost by a rainy or sunny day in Paris, or you, who will accept to host me when I am by a sunny, cloudy, rainy or snowy day in your town. I am on this website to give you all I can with my -- really short actually, but I'm working on its expansion -- experience, share yours and maybe live new together !

Whatever that makes a good sound -- Classical music (Mozart, Bach, Mahler, Debussy, Ravel, Philip Glass), Jazz music (Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Badbadnotgood, Sanrky Puppy, Ella Fitzgerald), Folk (Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen), alternative music (mainly progressive rock like Pink Floyd, King Crimson or Genesis), Fela Kuti, David Bowie, and also French music : Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, Léo Ferré.
Movies :
From the New Wave to Blockbusters, from movies by Jean-Luc Godard to the last Avengers (I'm quite a good audience). One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Is it too plain to say that everyday is the pretext to an extraordinary adventure ? Of course it is, so let me think to an adventure. Oh, here is one : one time in Sweden, I found myself lost with my bike in the middle of a huge forest when, suddenly, I turned myself and was facing a huge stag which, quite surprisingly, was a lot more frightened than me. Later on, my and my friends were chasing deers in the fields with our bike, under a torrential rain, which forced us to pass the night in the middle of nowhere on the shore of a lake, with two swedish people as completely lost as we were. Precising that none of us could understand each other, that we had nothing to eat and ended the next day, on our way home, having a barbecue at midnight in the Castle of the Royal Family of Sweden (Drottningholm), it gives to these couple of days some density.
However I am not trying to do everything in order to live extraordinary adventures. Meeting new people and new places is already extraordinary in itself, and it doesn't some sparkles or whatever glittering, from my point of view.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach french cooking or french itself, tell stories (more or less interesting), discuss, make you discover new places, discover new ones with you... I am open to all your requests and offerings !
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good vibes and good moments !
I could share anything you want : cooking, moments, visits in your city or in mine, endless discussions, or only a beer from time to time if you are not in the mood to live a lot with me. I am not an intrusive person and can adapt myself easily to your daily rythm, as much as sharing it with you if you want !
