About Me
A relatively adventurous chap with a penchant for culture, sunshine and rum.
I am currently travelling for the sole purpose of getting memories. Until someone officially discovers the meaning of life I'm going to assume that experiencing everything life has to offer, or as much as possible, is a decent goal and travel helps in that process.
Currently living in London, so if you desire a trip to the big city I can offer you a bed in the suburbs, with occasional baking, nights out on the town, and a host who is exceptionally laid back. After some recent travelling I can now appreciate that accommodation can be pretty damn expensive (I am looking at you Iceland / Sweden) so if I can help make your trip more affordable, and show you a decent time, then it sounds like a plan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A new year resolution to start being more adventurous stoked by a few friends who have had good experiences. I've also had the pleasure of meeting a few randoms (charming English word for other travellers) who have all seemed pretty decent so am keen to keep on meeting people. 2017 sees me on a bit of an Asian odyssey, so if you see me in your neck of the woods, do come and say hello.
But please be aware that I really don't use this site as a dating site, so no flirting or offers of random sex please. I'm English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm, camped on the Serengeti. Not amazing in itself (I mean, I just slept in a tent) but I can recommend the safety talk which was essentially " yellow eyes, you are fine. Red eyes, you are dead". Impending death aside it was amazing being awake at 4am and seeing the night sky filled with stars. It made me realise how insignificant we are in the big scheme of things.....
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I could try and teach you how to make some dishes. But to be honest, all of my cooking skills essentially come down to me being able to read and follow instructions. ;)
That said I am definitely open to meeting people who know how to barbeque I.e Texans (potential stereotype?)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hmmm, very poor jokes, a delightful brand of English wit, and the occasional cooked meal (ingredients willing).
