About Me

Hello all!

My name is Jules Lincoln and I have recently graduated from the University of Southampton in the UK in Ship Science / Naval Architecture (MEng). Having finished my studies, I have yet to decide what to do with my life!

My mum is French and my dad is English (bilingual French/English!), and I was brought up as a child in Asia, five years in Brunei and five in Malaysia. We co-owned a six metre motor boat on which I spent endless hours on and in the South China Sea. This is undoubtedly what triggered my interest and passion for boats and the sea, hence my studies!

I am a keen traveller and have travelled to many different countries over the past years, alot in Asia as a child, and a lot in Europe as a young adult with my friends.

I am always lookig for new adventures and challenges, which is a reason why I am on Couchsurfing. I enjoy all outdoor marine related activities!

I could go on for years about myself so for any further details, just contact me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why I'mon Couchsurfing?

I used Couchsurfing for the first time in 2016 when I cycled from London to Paris with a friend of mine in less than 72 hours, with the most minimla equipment possible... An achievement I am quite proud off! During this trip we stayed at two different peoples house, both of which were a very pleasant stay. Our two hosts were very interesting and had alot to share with us. I really just liked it so much that I thought I should properly join Couch surfing!

I think this will give me the opportunity to share amazing experiences with people all over the globe! Life is all about giving and receiving, is it not?!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music..... I love all sorts except for metal and hard rock!

Films... I honestly dont have any particular preferences!

Books... Any books related to travelling, or extreme sports! For example, a book I am enjoying reading at the moment is "Lattitude zero" by Mike Horn!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many... More can be discussed on this matter in person!

A small example is when I got stuck in the mud in the middle of the South China Sea as a child on our boat, with 6 children on board and only beers to drink! When the tide comes back in the tropics, it always comes back with a huge storm... Wanna know more? Then meet me ahaha!
