About Me

Hello,
My name is Jules and I am currently travelling central America my girlfriend Clara. We are both 29 years old and we love to discover new places, new people and new cultures. I used couch surfing before while traveling in Indonesia and it allowed me to meet people in a way that was just not possible while traveling in hostels. I hope to renew the experience here in Mexico and Guatemala.
Unfortunately I am not yet fluent in Spanish, but I am eager to learn and improve drastically during the 4 months we have in Central America! Clara speaks very well Spanish, she learned while travelling in Columbia and Ecuador.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy traveling. I feel like couchsurfing is a really good alternative to traditional travel in hostels and hotels. I like meeting new people, so hotels is not really my thing, especially not for this trip. Hostels are a lot of fun and it is easy to meet other backpackers, but I feel like Couchsurfing can give a more authentic experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen mostly to Rock music: Beattles, Queen, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd , Sum41, the Offspring, Green Day, ...
But I really enjoy the 90's Hip Hop as well: Dr dre, Eminem, Biggie, 2Pac, Nas, ...
Other than that I am pretty open to any music, I occasionnaly listen to house, techno, and other electronic music and of course some pop music on the radio.

I watch quite a lot of movies, my favorite including: the Godfather, Shawshank redemption, 12 angry men, Se7en,

As for books, I used to read a lot of heroic-fantasy: Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, Eragon, Game of thrones, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled with 2 friends through Japan and it was an amazing trip. The culture was so different from European culture and the people so nice. We visited a lot of places and attractions, but my favorite moment has to be meeting Japonese people and party with them until 5 am in a Karaoke bar. A true taste of Japan.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A beer, a chat, an activity, ... anything that allow us to share our respective experiences and culture. I love meeting people that live in the place I am visiting as it is the best way to trully experience the culture and life of that country.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Sweden, Tanzania, Tunisia, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
