Overview
About Me
I moved to VT the summer of 2012, bought 10 acres and put up a yurt. I thoroughly enjoyed yurt living for almost 2 years but then life just kept transitioning. Now I live in Marlboro, VT with my 4 year old son.
Before Vermont I was studying alternative medicine in CT and before that I lived abroad for 6 years (in Hong Kong) which finished with a gap year spent in Italy and India.
I love traveling and think this website is absolutely awesome.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is an interesting combination of letting things happen and making things happen, the % of each varying over time.
Fight without anger, love without attachment.
Find joy and beauty in the every day things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfed during a gap year a few years back. Happy to be sharing my home now. Always open for meeting people on the road too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
For my first experience, we ended up doing a 2 night couch exchange where I visited his town the first night, staying on his couch and then he drove me home and I hosted him the second night. It was a bit random and last minute but it was a great experience and a great way to break into couch surfing! After that I add a couple more great experiences during a trip to France and was able to meet a couple fellow couch surfers in Torino, Italy.
Interests
Parenting (oh how I love it....even the really hard sometimes teachable moments), Diet and nutrition, yoga, alternative medicine, TRAVEL (of course), the outdoors (biking, rock climbing, hiking, camping), breathing deep and enjoying life. And now, learning more and more about homesteading and dreaming of a tiny home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tolkien, Ayn Rand, Ken Follett...just to name a couple in the written world.
Music, movies, and wine...for me, I enjoy so much but don't give it much brain space. Though I love movies, I only remember the names of about 10% that I watch, I love music (all types but heavy rap) but don't ask me about groups or song names if you want an intelligent response, and wine...love it, especially red...but love it best when someone else picks it out for me. Surprises are great. :-) Sometimes I think this is a downside to my personality but it's just me...and I like me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh my gosh, the world is a beautiful place. I've climbed Kilimanjaro, hiked on the Great Wall, biked up a Colorado 14er, and shaved my head at an Indian ashram to name a couple bigger things but sometimes the little day to day things are just as or more amazing, taking note of the trees or animals or making an interesting connection with someone. It's all good!
Teach, Learn, Share
On the side, I dabble in alternative medicine, yoga, and a nutrition so can share a lot on those topics. I love meeting people and learning about what makes them tick.
