About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Juggling career, mortage and traveller's dreams

ABOUT ME

I have lived in both the tiniest, quietest towns and the biggest, busiest cities in the world. I love travelling and really wish I could travel more. All the time! I haven't travelled for quite a while but I am HOPING that this year the time has arrived (financial meltdown and all...)
I love drinking wine and talking to friends about nothing signifant, riding my bicycle uphill til it hurts, daydreaming, collecting factoids that are, alas, meaningless to everybody.

PHILOSOPHY

Live passionately. Live in the moment. Love everything you see. Have no regrets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived peak traffic in Taipei... and was involved in a head-on collision with another motor cyclist. I don't know who was more surprised and shocked. Me or the other guy.
I've worked as a gardener on the banks of the sea of Jordan. As a date-picker I had to shake off black scorpions from the date bags in the fields. Once, a big fat worm got into my trousers and bit me on my stomach (it's true!. While living in Taiwan, I took Mandarin lessons and learnt to say things like "That's too expensive" and other phrases that could "Please deliver a gas bottle to Shin Wu Road". In hindsight, what's the point of knowing those terms?

Actually, every day on my way to work I'm amazed by the things I see in traffic.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really keen on palmistry and have done a bit of studying on this. But i'm no expert!
I play the piano by ear and have had classical training (!) - does that qualify???

Hmm. Hard question. I need to think about this....!!!
