About Me

Hi there! I am almost finished with my studies of Electrical Engineering(Bachelor) at Technical University Munich and currently on Erasmus Exchange in Brest, France.
I am relatively new to couchsurfing but I definetly plan to do it more often in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well because meeting and exchanging with new interesting people can impact someone greatly. And meeting them can in practise actually be really difficult and would often times never happen.

Interests

Well Bikes have just been my preferred means of transport, because I feel more mobile on them than with public transport or a car(only within a city anyway).

Honestly during school I especially hated maths and physics, because no one could explain to my why all that? But after I started my studies I realized a lot of things and became interested in the above mentioned and now I think from what I hear in the general discussion that a lot of people probably never had this insight like me. For example it's not that easy to become independent from fossile fuels for certain reasons. But maybe we'll have an interesting discussion about that soon and maybe you can also teach me somthing in the end;)

Also during that time I converted to being a linux user (debian) and believing that software should be free of charge and open source. But unfortunately it's also true that linux is only free, if one's personal time has no value.

Maybe few people realise how multicultural Germany actually is. That made me interested in foreign cultures and exchanging with other people who might not share the same values as I do, but that's the whole point of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

What I really dislike is today's commercial music, that u hear everywhere for some stupid reason! I listen to Rock / techno, especially Elektroswing and latin music.

I don't often watch movies or read books, but one movie that I can recommend is "Conquering Southern China" done by 2 of my favorite vloggers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on interrail once in the summer with 2 friends and there we spend 2 nights and the day between them at at a sunny beach in the south of France. We were with 3 other travellers that we met the day before.(It is nothing to extrem, but I can't think of anything more extraordinary that I've done)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think there should be more people, who are into explaining science to newbies in a simple way, because that is exactly what I enjoy doing. In my opinion there are quite a few misconceptions about the world of technology that many people seem to have. One of which you don't have to be a nerd to be an engineer;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

One thing I didn't describe in depth in my interests is that I like soldering and repairing electronics. No garanty, but if u have a PC or another device I might be able to fix it/give advice on how to fix it. Same goes for stuff like reinstalling the operating system. Same goes for bikes.
