About Me
Hey hey :)
We are Ana and Julia, two german girls who met some years ago in school. We became friends and our friendship became even closer through our common trips. Because we really like travelling together, we decided to run this account together.
In 2015 we had our first amazing trip together: we took our bikes and biked from our hometown, Bielefeld, to Amsterdam. 300km in 3 days. Just us, our bikes, backpacks and a tent. What can we say? This trip changed our lives: the way we see things, the way we think - it just broadened our horizon immensely. It was one of the most intense and enriching experiences we had so far.
One year later, 2016, we wanted to repeat that: this time we biked for 13 days through Denmark and Sweden - another amazing experience, which can't be described in a few words.
2018, we left our bikes in Germany and explore Spain by hiking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We think Couchsurfing is the best way to meet new people and to get to know the new cultures and countries. We don't want to be tourists but really experience the country the way it really is.
Music, Movies, and Books
Julia:
I love documentaries! About nearly everything.
A movie that impressed me a lot was 'Victoria' - a film shot in a single continuous take.
'Samsara' is also fantastic.
My favourite book is probably the Bible. It's challenging but it also encourages me very often.
One of my all time favourite musicians is Michael Jackson. Besides him I like Kodaline, Oh Wonder, Giant Rooks, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Tom Odell, Seafret, BOY, Casper, Annenmaykantereit and Milky Chance.
Ana:
I don't know a lot about movies. That's probably the result of a childhood without any media. But I'm open to everything!
I enjoy many kinds of music! Especially such that forces you to dance!
..Rock, Electro , House, Indie, Grunge, Hip Hop, Stoner Rock, 80s, 90s..
The books I have loved the most are Astrid Lindgrens enchanted children's books.
Today I read mostly realistic stories, non-fiction books about travelling, politcs, nature, philosophy, art.. Everyting I am interested in..and thats a lot :).
But I'm also crazy about Harry Potter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
